they seem to be getting a lot of stick here....

lets have an arctic monkeys appreciation thread Laughing

i will start:

erm, what are you meant to say? i appreciate them very much. they are my favourite band. they are the best band i have seen live. their album is my fave album. their next single (leave before the lights come on) is probably thier best song so far (except for bigger boys and stolen sweethearts).

best band ever!

well at first i thought this post was a bit cheeky because this is after all the gentlemen website. but i don't want to get all 'big brother' (as in 1984) on you trying to censor stuff.

stoney are good, but the rest of them are so shit, i mean milburn just sound exactly like the arctic monkeys, but rubbish, little man tate hav 1 good song, and reverent and the makers and bromheads jacket are just so shit...

The Artic Monkeys are great, I do love em. The rest of those bands I've dipped into and they've yet to capture my attention properly... maybe I'm just too mainstream Very Happy

this is a 'general' topic section so I guess it doesnt all have to be about the gentlemen. Well, I used to like the arctic monkeys but now I think they are gay. Not because their music is rubbish (because its not) or not because Andy is resting but because its their fault I met someone I would much rather forget ever existed so...

how can you blame a band for that? its hardly like the band set you up is it (or is it? though i doubt it) arctic monkeys are quality, if a little repetative

Well I met him whilst in a queue to buy arctic monkeys tickets.
I then met him at the actual gig again and then we started talking.
Then he came to see them at magna with me and now I wish we never met. Simple...

at least you got to go to magna jasmine. i had to go all the way to wolverhampton to see em. but ive seen em three times so cant complain. magna was on my birthday though. that jacks records queue was the biggest waste of four hours ever. and it was freezing.

i just wanna say to everyone else to ignore 'stars on fire' cos the bands i listed are well worth listening to.

milburn dont sound just like arctic monkeys either. i seen em both at the same gig and they are different trust me.

did you see them at the leadmill on january 22nd? I did too! I was right at the front and when alex turner stage dived he got stuck in my bag handle! lol! Did you see the lad that jumped on stage and stage dived? blonde? you might not remember but thats the guy I want to forget! He wasted 4 months of my life. Magna wasnt all that good, not half as good as the leadmill but I guess I cant complain...ah well. I would still see them again. I didnt know you were in the queue at jacks, joe? I left school at dinner to queue. lol! I was rate cold!!!!

the leadmill was the best gig ever!!!! i loved it so much! you were in nme after werent you? Laughing

i loved them at first, then the hype started and chavs would walk down the street playin them on their phones and it put me off a bit, they were so much better like last october.

still an ace band though
